Tips on arrival for any group:
- Before the event, request organiser:
Print & bring an A4 size paper or card, folded in 2, with Single short keyword quoted in event announcement, Name of group or organiser, etc. In Maximal Large Thick Black Felt Pen, On table or like at airport arrivals. visible from distance, Samples To Print For Berklix.Org & Meetup.COm - If you can't find group do not assume organiser has canceled event. Go in, (past any queue of random un-booked public waiting for a table)
- Go to bar / cashier where reservation book is, Ask staff there (rather than random waiters on floor carrying drink/food) for: Booking name of group or organiser, Time the table is booked for, & size of table (number of people booked).
- Even if you cant speak German & waiter cant speak English, Say "English Group" (Pronounced "English Gruppe" in German) That should help them help you;
- Ask customers at every big table, Listen where you hear English.
- Be on time, then there's a largely empty table to look for. & An organiser looking toward door, not yet deep in conversation
- If its a larger group for a cafe/restaurant,
it'll usually be inside, cos cafes don't usually have
big tables on the pavement.

If you come out of a pub in the right area of Aachen late at night, one can stare at the bronze statue of mythical beast Bahkauv. see last colour pic base of de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahkauv( Reminds me of the statue of a panther in Munich at the South West Corner of Rosenheimer & Anziger Strassen. google.com/maps. In winter fog the panther looks eerie ! (P.S. There's still massive radio aerials on top of that building last I looked, I think it was an American military base after WW2, & still Police near the Panther, presumably with radio access, one can probably radio control whole of Bavaria from there, prob still of military significance, though people discuss Pullach. ) -
